Acupuncture Facial Rejuvenation Treatments
Acupuncture offers many benefits to those who want to revitalize the look and feel of their skin. It build collagen, tones muscles, improves circulation, and stimulates blood flow with no risk of scars, infections, rashes or toxic build-up of chemicals. Acupuncture can offer a safe and effective treatment to revitalize the face. Acupuncture can diminish wrinkles, eliminate fine lines, decrease bags under the eyes and puffiness, firm facial muscles, tighten the skin, lift drooping eyelids, and aid in balancing hormones that can cause acne. Facial acupuncture may also improve collagen production and increase local blood and lymph circulation. Although results can be much slower and less dramatic then a surgical facelift, acupuncture is less expensive and a safer alternative with little to no side effects. Acupuncture simply enhances a patient’s natural beauty, often taking years off of one’s appearance. Some say that acupuncture can erase 5 to 15 years off of the face. During facial acupuncture treatments, very fine needles are inserted into specific points on the face and on the body. These needles are sterile, stainless steel and disposable. Treatments vary from person to person, based on the individual’s needs and traditional Chinese medical diagnosis. In addition to acupuncture, facial massage, herbal formulas, or electrical stimulation may also be used during the treatment. Self care treatments such as facial exercises and diet modifications may also be a necessary step to prolonging the beneficial effects of cosmetic acupuncture.

Microneedling is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that’s used to treat skin concerns via collagen production. Also known as collagen induction therapy, this treatment may help those looking to reduce the appearance of acne scars and stretch marks. Microneedling works by encouraging your skin to make more collagen. The idea is that pinpricks from the procedure cause slight injury to the skin and that the skin responds by making new collagen-rich tissue.
This new skin tissue is, in turn, more even in tone and texture. It’s normal for the skin to lose collagen via age or injury. By encouraging the skin to make new tissue, there may be more collagen to help make the skin firmer, too.
The benefits of Gua Sha actually extend way past relaxation and lessened tension—it’s linked to clearer skin, fewer wrinkles and a more sculpted (youthful) appearance. Pronounced gwa sha, it’s a facial treatment that involves scraping a flat jade or rose quartz stone over the skin in upward strokes to relax stiff muscles and promote tissue drainage. It moves lymphatic fluids and breaks down tension in muscles. That means improved blood flow and less puffiness. The increase in circulation is said to up hydration for that coveted youthful glow, and it even helps the skin to naturally purge blemish-causing dirt and oils.
Facial cupping is based on the same principle as body cupping to stimulate your skin and muscles. Facial cups are typically smaller and softer. They’re used to gently pull the skin away from deeper layers of fascia. This increases blood flow to the area and rejuvenates the skin without leaving cup marks behind. Over time this practice improves the complexion and diminishes fine lines and wrinkles. The suction promotes increased blood circulation, which may help relieve muscle tension, promote cell repair, and aid in other regeneration. It’s also said to improve the flow of your “qi” (pronounced “chee”). Qi is a Chinese word meaning life force.
Red Light Therapy is a painless, non-invasive LED light therapy using different wavelengths of light to stimulate the skin's natural repair and rejuvenation processes. Treats specific skin concerns such as fine lines, wrinkles, acne, pigmentation and rosacea. Red light therapy has been used by NASA to promote faster cell growth to aid in wound healing. It is also used to combat the effects of chemotherapy in cancer patients. Using the same principle, red light is used to stimulate collagen production that is essential in keeping younger and firmer skin. Because of NASA’s intensive study, the use of red light therapy as an anti-aging treatment is promising.
